We started with one
mandap and a van
Aurelia began when two set designers were asked to decorate a cousin's wedding in Kilpauk. That one job turned into a studio — carpenters, florists, drapers and a logistics crew who all work under the same roof.
Four years on we still design the way we did then: sketch first, source second, and never repeat a set-up for two clients in the same season. Everything you see in our portfolio was drawn for a specific room, a specific family and a specific hour of the day.
We take on a limited number of events each month. It means we turn work away in December — and it means the people who designed your moodboard are the same people standing in your venue at 6am.
Three rules we don't bend
The quote is the quote
Whatever is itemised at moodboard stage is what you pay. If we underestimated something, that's our problem to absorb.
Design for the room
We visit every venue before drawing. Ceiling heights, power points and the walk from the loading bay all shape the design.
Leave it cleaner
Our crew strikes the set the same night and hauls everything out. Venues re-book us because of this, not the florals.
Designers, florists,
carpenters and drivers
Twenty-six people, one workshop in Ambattur and a fleet of three vans. Design leads stay with your event from the first call through to strike.
- ✦Design & moodboards
Two senior stylists who own your project end to end.
- ✦Floral studio
Daily sourcing from Koyambedu, conditioned overnight in our cold room.
- ✦Fabrication
In-house carpentry and drapery — custom arches, plinths and backdrops.
We've hosted a hundred weddings. Aurelia is one of maybe three vendors I hand my clients without checking in.
They redesigned the entrance overnight when the rain came in, and never once made it our problem.
Tell us about your day
Share the date and the venue. We'll come back with a moodboard and an honest number.
